The Selection | Full book

Question #25

The Selection.
The opportunity of a lifetime
A fiesty competition of 35 girls
For the heart of one prince

But America Singer couldn't care less
She can't be bribed or bought
Jewels, gowns and money
Are nothing to her

She already belongs to someone else
But she will have to leave
Him and her family behind
To fight for someone she doesn't want

Yet will her future be
With the prince or
Her secret someone?

    1. Ohhh! Ok sure so there is a society named Illéa where you are born into a number which is also your social standing (status). So Ones are royalty and Eights are castaways on the street. So America Singer the protagonist, is a Five, so she is middle-working class. Every 16-18 years there is a competition called The Selection where any girl in the kingdom can compete for the hand of the Prince. But unlike all the other girls America does not dream of a life with the Prince because she has already found someone else. Yet when she and 34 other girls get randomly selected to fight for the Prince, she starts to develop feelings for the Prince whilst still maintaining her feelings for her significant other. Was that ok?
